Post children & breastfeeding, and would like a breast lift with small reduction (had a BR 15 years ago), lipo360, inner thigh lipo and upper arm lipo. Am I a good candidate and is it possible to do all these procedures at the same time? With Lipo, can one expect to not have dimpling and ripples if done by a board cert plastic surgeon? Can the fat be repositioned to my butt/hips? Thanks very much!

Answer: Mommy Makeover candidate Hello, and thank you for your question. You appear to be a great mommy makeover candidate. Liposuction works best on patients with moderate amount of stubborn fat resistant with diet and exercise and good skin tone, which you appear to have. This can easily and safely be combined with your breast revision surgery. Contour irregularities and other complications are a risk of any liposuction operation, and certainly these rates are lower in board certified plastic surgeons's hands but we can never make them 0%. The next best step is an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck on your journey!

Answer: Mommy makeover Regarding your breasts, your breast shape and size look proportionate for your body. However, if you really want them smaller, liposuction with a skin-only vertical mastopexy (lollipop lift) can help with downsizing and making the breasts narrower with a slight elevation of the nipple. It depends on your endgame as this is gilding the lily but worth an exam and discussion. Regarding your mid-section, liposuction of the abdomen, hips and waist +/- a mini-tuck with transfer is a good plan. If you have loose muscles (determined with an exam), then a full tummy tuck may be needed but it looks like your muscles are flat and tight from the photos. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Answer: Mommy-makeover Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for a mommy makeover! As far as your breasts, the procedure will really depend on what your ultimate size goal is. If you generally like the size of your breasts (ie, do you like they look in clothing in a supportive bra), then you may only need a breast lift (mastopexy). For these patients, I do a tissue sparing technique, which essentially an auto-augmentation, conserving all of your breast tissue, but lifting the overall breast and bringing the nipple-areola to a higher, more aesthetic position. I typically use some type of absorbable mesh with this procedure to create an internal support bra and maintain the results over time. If your goal breast size is smaller than your current volume, I would still perform a lift and use mesh, but remove a small amount of breast tissue to make your overall volume a bit smaller. A tummy tuck will both remove the excess tissue of your lower abdomen as well as tighten your abdominal muscles that have likely stretched during pregnancy. I would typically perform liposuction of the flanks and upper abdomen and do abdominal etching to give a svelte, contoured, and athletic-looking result to your abdomen. I commonly add in liposuction to the inner an outer thighs, because who doesn’t want a thigh-gap! You might also be a candidte for liposuction to the upper arms. Some of the fat harvested could be used for fat grafting. Liposuction is best performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon for the best results. All of these procedures can safely be done in one surgery. Best of luck in your aesthetic journey!
