Question

One Dr. suggested 2ml in each cheek= 4ml's, reasoning that 1ml on each cheek will be a waste, as there wont be a noticeable difference. I'm a bit hesitant, I don't want the pillow face look but on the other hand I don't want to put 1ml in if its not going to make a real difference. In the past, Iv'e had 1ml of Juvaderm V, 1/2 in 1 cheek & 1/2 in the other, it looked fine but no real difference. My goal=natural refreshed look with nice volume. I'm also having 20 units of botox done on my frownline

I'm a big proponent of starting off slow and adding more if necessary. I would ask if you can start with 1cc voluma in each cheek. You should see a difference but if it isn't enough, go back and see your injecting physician in 2 weeks for additional filler. Remember, it's always easy to add, not so easy to remove! Good luck!!

2 ml per side would not be an unreasonable amount to enhance your cheeks. However you may want to consider 1 ml per side to start with and reassess in 2-3 weeks with your injector to add more if desired. For cheek augmentation I would recommend using Juvederm Voluma.

Knowing how much Juvederm or any filler you need can often be difficult, particularly when assessing online! But, I will do my best. If you want a nice look in your cheek, the key is getting the right product placed in the right location. There are a number of kinds of Juvederm (which you may know). For the Cheeks, personally I find Voluma the best as it absorbs little water. Often, the absorption of water is what causes that "puffy" cheek look. Typically, if you had 1ml in total, i would suggest trying 2ml in total. Ask for something that is a bit longer lasting and  appropriate for the cheeks. James P. Thanks for your question and photographs.  As you have already seen the results of a 1.5ml treatment in each cheek its likely you require more product to achieve your desired results.  I would suggest using 1ml of Juvaderm on each cheek to provide you with natural volume and a gentle lift.  Good luck.

Thanks for your question. Your Dr is probably right about 2 mls per cheek.I would recommend you do 1 ml per cheek and see if you like the look. If you feel it is inadequate, you can have another 1 ml per side 8 to 12 weeks after the first injection.Products to use would be Juvederm Voluma or Modelis ( these are HA fillers) the other filler is Radiesse.All the best
