I am 6 months post-op. Since the day of surgery(620CC) it was noticeable that the right breast was higher and differently shaped than the left. The left implant shaped and settled, I was told the right needed more time. The incision scar is higher and there’s more volume on top than the side and bottom of the left implant. I’m worried more time will increase appearance of ptosis on the right. Was my right pocket sewn too high?
Answer: Revision timing At six months post op you can consider revision surgery at your convenience. The implant size you chose is large and may be influencing how the implants are settling. Selecting a smaller implant may improve your results.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Plucky886228, you should be fully healed prior to another elective procedure. 6 months is enough to be fully recovered. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Implants You chose a very large implant that is actually too large for your frame. It is still staying high. Your surgeon can now go back in and open your lower pocket to let it drop more. You will do better long term if you go down in size.

Answer: Too big implants for good symmetry You are right about asymmetry. It is very difficult to place implants in perfectly symmetric position on your chest since they are just too big for your small chest! Revision can be done at any time, but I would suggest you to consider smaller implants. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: Breast implant revision It is possible that your right breast pocket was sewn too high during your breast augmentation surgery, which could cause the asymmetry that you are experiencing. It is not uncommon for breasts to settle and take on a more natural appearance over time after breast augmentation surgery. However, if you are concerned that the asymmetry is not improving or is worsening, you should schedule a follow-up appointment with your plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns or seek for a second opinion. Your plastic surgeon may recommend options such as: -Observation and wait: In some cases, the asymmetry may improve over time, especially if the implant pocket was initially too high. -Massage and compression: Massaging the breast and using a compression bandage may help to encourage the implant to settle into the proper position. -Revision surgery: If the asymmetry does not improve, your plastic surgeon may recommend revision surgery to adjust the position of the implant or to address any other issues that may be causing the asymmetry. It is important to choose a qualified plastic surgeon with experience in breast augmentation revision surgery to ensure the best possible outcome. I hope this helps, best of luck !
