Hello, I received a breast revision with strattice last year. I have a complete capsulectomy as well as implant replacement. I went from 510cc to 450cc. I am not happy with the size and begged the doctor to keep me at 510cc but he was extremely stern and insisted on going smaller with a full anchor lift. I am scheduled for a lift however i am very nervous as I wanted to avoid unnecessary scarring and wanted a donut lift instead. Any recommendations?
Answer: Breast lift It's understandable to feel nervous about undergoing another breast surgery and to have concerns about scarring. It's important to have a thorough discussion with your surgeon about your goals and concerns, and to work together to develop a plan that will achieve the best possible outcome for you. Based on what you've described, it sounds like you and your surgeon may have different opinions on the best approach for your breast revision. Your surgeon may have recommended a full anchor lift because it provides more extensive reshaping and support for the breast tissue, while also removing excess skin and improving nipple position. However, you may prefer a donut lift because it involves less scarring and may be a better fit for your aesthetic goals. Ultimately, the decision of which type of breast lift to undergo will depend on several factors, including your current breast size, skin laxity, nipple position, and desired outcome. It's important to have an open and honest conversation with your surgeon about your goals and concerns, and to ask any questions you may have about the procedure. If you're still uncertain about which type of breast lift to undergo, you may wish to consider seeking a second opinion from another board-certified plastic surgeon. A second opinion can provide additional perspective and help you make an informed decision about your breast revision. Overall, the most important thing is to work closely with your surgeon and to choose a surgical plan that aligns with your goals and expectations. With careful planning and communication, it's possible to achieve excellent results while minimizing scarring and achieving a natural-looking outcome. Best of luck !

Answer: Breast lift Dear Yoly1950, my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. Answer: There's a reason he/she is 'stern' You already got a donut lift and your breasts are asymmetric and wanting for shape and nipple position. Your scars are more conspicuous than those from a properly performed formal breast lift. You have tethering of your areolas deep into your scar capsule internally. Do the right thing, get a proper mastopexy and do not increase implant size.

Answer: I recommend a mastopexy. To answer your question directly, yes, I would recommend a lift. It looks like you have some asymmetry that could be improved with a lift as well. Your skin envelope looks like it could handle a larger implant, but even then I would recommend a lift/mastopexy.
