I am reading inconsistent answers about lhow long swelling lasts. Some of you say 2-4 weeks others say 3 weeks . Or months? Some patients are complaining that swelling is not going down in a reasonable time.

Answer: Swelling and Spanx Swelling post CoolSculpting varies per patient. I tell all of my patients that swelling could last anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. I have patients wear spanx to help with the swelling and fitting into their clothes during this phase. It is not mandatory after the CoolSculpting treatment, but I find it helps.

Answer: Should I wear compression garment after coolsculpting? Thank you for your question. Although compression garment is not required after coolsculpting, I do recommend it as it helps with some discomfort. The garment does not need to be extremely tight, but just enough to provide support for the treated areas. Patients usually report having more comfortable recovery with light support. Sincerely, Olga Bachilo, MD
