While we appreciate you, including the pictures the once included are a little insufficient to make an accurate assessment. Typically we need to see pictures, including your torso and lower extremities, showing your front, side and backside. Try taking pictures wearing only undergarments. You can crop at the neck and knees for privacy. Based on the pictures you show it looks like you have significant amount of skin laxity. Your waist is relatively small compared to your hips and I don’t see a significant amount of subcutaneous fat. In your case, I think you carry some excess visceral fat, that’s causing some bulging of your abdomen. Weight loss may be indicated to improve your contour to some degree. You may also need to address the skin laxity on your waist and backside. This may be better done with an extended tummy tuck, a.k.a. wraparound, tummy tuck conversion, then having liposuction. I suggest having multiple inperson consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons. It is very important to differentiate skin Laxcity versus excess subcutaneous fat. Many people confuse skin Laxcity with fat. It’s important to understand the difference because skin Laxcity is not well treated by having Liposuction. To understand the thickness of your subcutaneous fat layer try pulling your skin tight and then measure how thick you’re fat layer actually is by gently pressing against your skin with the tip of your finger. You may be surprised at how thin the subcutaneous fat layer is especially in comparison to how thick the skin folds may feel. Liposuction may or may not be appropriate. The most important variable is to get an accurate assessment and choose a treatment that treats the actual problem whether it is loose skin or excess fat or both. I recommend patients have as many in person, consultations as possible to get a better understanding of their own candidacy for various procedures, including procedure alternatives. This is also your best opportunity of finding the best provider. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you as many before and after pictures as possible of previous patient with similar body characteristics to your own. Good luck, Mats Hagstrom MD
