Can you get a tummy tuck while you have braces?

I know you can’t wear jewelry and stuff during surgery but I wanted to know if I should hold off on my braces until after my tummy tuck or not.

Thank you for your questions and congratulations on your surgery. Sometimes severe coughing can cause an issue with the plication of the abdominal wall muscles.  Normally it's not a issue and obviously coughing can't be avoided all the time.  I would recommend just holding a pillow or so...

A good examination is needed to answer this question.  From you pictures I would think you have a fair amount of intra-abdominal fat (visceral) that will only go away with weight loss.  A tummy tuck may help some if you have muscle separation, but wont likely help you as much as you're hoping. Yes, you can use simethicone. Walking around also helps (although it can feel uncomfortable at first). Be sure to use a stool softener so you don’t become constipated.
