Is there a procedure that can remove deep creases from my abdomen? (Photo)

Question

I have 2 deep creases on my abdomen since I was a child. No matter how flat my stomach is, it looks like a have stomach rolls. I've tried for years to target getting rid of belly fat, but even at my thinnest, the creases are still present. It really makes me upset that I still have to wear one pieces to cover the creases event when my belly is flat. Now I'm 33, and I've given up hope that this will change with just good diet and working out all the time. What can I do?

This may be caused by a pocket of excess fat that is resistant to your weight loss efforts. It may also be loose skin. A tummy tuck would be able to tighten loose skin, or liposuction could remove the pocket of stubborn fat.

Thank you for your question and for sharing your photograph  These creases are common in patients and are the result of the abdominal skin needing to fold as one goes from a standing to a sitting position.  These do improve with continued diet and exercise to thin the amount of adipose tissue above and below your stomach muscles but ultimately a tummy tuck may be needed to help remove excess skin.  Hope this helps.
