How long after Tummy Tuck and Liposuction can I get Breast Lift?

Question

I'm scheduled to have liposuction, tummy tuck and BBL. I need a breast lift but I'm not able to do them all together safely. How many months after my first round of surgery do I have to wait to have second round of surgery (breast lift and Liposuction)? I've asked a few doctors and I've been told 4-6 months. How many months and why?

There is no reason your procedures could not be performed within weeks of the first set. However most patients are advised to wait several months as minor revisions to the original procedures might be necessary and could be done at the time of the second sitting.

Generally, you should wait 3 moths between surgeries to be sure that your first procedures have healed and they don't need any tweaking or revisions that could be done at the second procedure.  Sometimes it takes a little  longer to make you sure your first operation has given you the result that you want,  Either way you want to be at your healthiest before any surgery.

I agree with your other surgeons that the four to six month time period is appropriate. The body contouring must heal completely to reveal your best stable shape so that when your breast lift is performed the final shape of your breast lift will match your frame.

I would want you to be fully recovered from your first surgery. The tummy tuck is the longest recovery. I have had patients fully recovered at 6 weeks but sometimes longer. I would estimate for you then 6-12 weeks, but see how the first case goes and then schedule when recovered. Good luck.

I would recommend a minimum of 6 weeks. You need to have all of your wounds healed with no signs of any complications. You need to be back to eating and functioning at your baseline. 6 weeks gives you time enough to heal...and to allow for any potential complications or wound healing problems to surface. I would say if you had no problems at 6 weeks and met all of those criteria...you should be safe to have a breast lift.

Although there are some limitations in doing the combination of surgery you suggest it can be done and safely in under 4 hours thus limiting your surgical time. You should consult with a PS that can offer this to you. It may be that you cant have all the surgeries together and if this is the case then I would wait probably 6 months to a year but it depends on how the tt goes and how you recover. you should not book further surgery until you are happy with the initial surgery.I would however get a second opinion if you have not been talked through the pros and cons of doing this as a one stage a two stage proecedure. It is also more cost effective for you.

I think that you have to wait minimum 3-4 months between surgeries in most cases.  It really depends upon your overall medical condition, the complexity of the procedures, and how you heal.
