Most of my patients find that the filler lasts 6 months to one year. Depending on the degree of augmentation desired, more can be added if indicated.
Without before and after pictures, this is difficult to answer. Generally, Juvederm lasts at least 6 months. It may be that more Juvederm is needed to get the results you want. I recommend following up with your injector. Restylane, Implants or fat are alternatives. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for sharing your question. Without a series of before and after pictures it is difficult to offer advice as most juvederm products should last at least 4 months in the lips. Based on the fact that you can "feel" the filler I would hazard that you need additional product placement to reach your desired goal outcome. You may like the original swelling that accompanies injections but once this recedes and the filler softens this may account for the smaller look you feel has occurred. Hope this helps.
This isn't typical. Usually Juvederm results can last between 6-12 months, depending on area and how much was used. I recommend following up with your injector. Additional filler may be needed to get the results you want. I hope this helps.
In the lips, there is often a confusion about the expected level of improvement. There is generally an initial period of swelling which some patients mistake as the level of improvement. The swelling will obviously subside quickly. The remaining level of improvement is the amount of improvement which is actually generated from the filler. Moreover, the lips require advanced injection techniques. For future injections, consult and be treated an experienced and expert physician injector who can guide you properly and perform the appropriate treatment.
In my experience it usually lasts at least 12 months. It is still there but you probably just need more. I would go back to the injector to get re-evaluated.
There is no formula that will predict the longevity of any filler. More often than not, when you look at the entire population of those injected with filler it rarely lasts as long as the manufacturer claims. After the first injection you will much have better idea how long that filler will last in the injected area. It may not be the same in other parts of the face. For example, if you inject a filler in the upper eyelid to correct the hollow eyes or in your earlobe to re-shape it, the chances are the same filler will last much longer than in your lips. Good luck!
Depending on which Juvederm that is utilized (Juvederm Ultra/Ultra Plus/Voluma/Volbella/Vollure), it can last from 9-12 months or with Voluma up to 2 years. With that being said, it is also important to have enough of a fill. Sometimes it may not be a question of it not lasting as long, but is there enough present to show the results. It is best to check back with your injector and discuss the areas of your concern further as 1 month longevity is not typical. Best of luck.
The truth of the matter is that every individual perceives different fillers differently. I have seen many patients who have broken down Juvederm in just 3 weeks and at the same time I have seen patients who have broken down Restylane in the same amount of time. If you feel that Juvederm is not lasting you more than 6 months you may ask your Plastic Surgeon or dermatologist to use Restylane the next time and see which product works better. Good luck from New York City
I understand very well your concerns. That shouldn't have happened considering your previous filler history which, I hope, you had a chance report to your new doctor. Although certain degree of swelling is always present, your photo suggests an exaggerated response due to either immediate in...
I recommend returning to your injector for an evaluation. Imaging studies can be done to rule out that any part of the needle remains. The bruising can be treated with lasers if it is persistent.
Thank you for your question. It is difficult to comment on your case without seeing photographs. Depending on your goals and expectations, 1 ml might be recommended to achieve your desired result. Beautiful and natural results can be achieved. Please be sure to see an expert injector for a...
