Flying 3-4 days after Juvederm lip injections?

Question

I want to get Juvederm injections in my lips when I visit England in a few months but I only have a few days before flying back to China. Is it okay to take a long haul flight 3 to 4 days after the procedure? This will be my first time having any procedure like this so don't know a lot. Thanks!

Hi AmyZuchi, I get asked this question a lot, and yes, there will be no problem flying after your injections. You may have some slight swelling or bruising but that will resolve in a week or less.

Yes, you can fly 3-4 days after your lip injections. You may have swelling, which can last 1-2 weeks. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising.

It should be fine for you to take a long distance flight 3-4 days after your Juvederm injection.  Please note you may have some bruising and swelling after the treatment that can persist up to two weeks.  Icing the area and keeping your head elevated for the first couple of days may help.  Some patients use the supplements Arnica and Bromelain as well.

Thank you for your question.  You should be just fine to fly after your Juvederm treatment.  Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow normal postprocedure swelling to fully resolve and to see your final result.  Hope this helps and best wishes!
