I would avoid doing anything that could disturb your result. many stupid things have been done after 5 or more drinks.
You should really check with your surgeon on this question. If you were my patient, I would recommend against doing this for at least 6 weeks after surgery. If you will be drinking, you could easily do something to damage your results. While you may be feeling great, you have just had a major surgery and you owe it to yourself to give yourself the best recovery period possible.
Unfortunately I don't believe that you're far enough out from surgery to be going out and drinking. You are still healing internally and going out could possibly be detrimental to the progress you've made so far. Check with your board certified plastic surgeon on his/her preferences.Thank you for your question!Melinda Lacerna, MD FACS
You should not be coming here to get your questions answered. The only person you should be seeking advice from is your surgeon. He or She has their own guidelines about returning to activities based on the procedure done, your overall health and how well you are healing. Please follow their advice to continue to heal properly and get the best outcome from your procedure
Hello! Glad you feel so good after your tummy tuck, but remember you are still healing, and need to take it easy! I would say that you can go out, but.... as is usually true-- moderation is the best answer-- so, just 1-2 drinks, and just a few hours at the club, with just sitting and socializing-- no zumba dancing moves! And you should check with your plastic surgeon-- she knows you best and will give you her advice on healing.Good luck.
Your plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to returning to specific activities. Remember, that your plastic surgeon knows exactly what was done, how you are progressing ( with or without complications), knows more precisely what you are planning on doing when it comes to activities, and is ultimately responsible for your care. Receiving advice online in this regard may be confusing or worse. In my practice, I would ask that you wait several more weeks before you put yourself in the position of potentially doing "jostled" or worse by intoxicated people in a club. Be careful…
Hello. It sounds like the pain pills are giving you some strange symptoms, but these do not sound worrisome. The oxycodone affects people differently-- some are sleepy, some more hyper and some itchy! I would try to go off them during the day and just take advil if you can-- and your symptoms...
Thank you very much for your enquiry.I think if you are having any difficulty breathing following a tummy tuck it would be worth getting yourself checked out by your surgeon just to make sure there is nothing wrong other than the recovery period following surgery. Generally your surgeon or...
In my experience, adding inner thigh liposuction to a tummy tuck procedure does not increase the overall recovery period. That being said, I would think that it would be difficult to adequately perform inner thigh liposuction via the abdominoplasty incision alone. I would typically make an...
