I had limited swelling until 2.5 weeks po. Now after. That time, I have increased swelling with a pouch just above and below my incision. My moms pubis looks ridiculous. I have dimples where my drains were and a huge pouch in the middle. My ps tried to drain it, but no fluid came out.
Answer: Mons pubis swelling after tummy tuck can take awhile to resolve Hi Cixton27. Thank you for your photos. Swelling in the mons and above your incision that increases is worrisome for fluid-consider getting an ultrasound. Trying to drain the fluid with you standing forces the fluid downward (as opposed to you lying down-not sure how you were tapped). Ask your plastic surgeon if it is ok to add extra compression with thick maxi pads to direct compression in your garment specifically over the mons, in case there is no fluid accumulation there. Mons swelling can take months to resolve, and I'm sure your drain scars will mature and become less visible over time. Hang in there and good luck!

Answer: What happened to my mons pubis? It appears from your photos that you have swelling in your mons region. I am not sure how far out you are from your surgery, but it will help to wear tight compression. The mons is in a dependent position with gravity and can have swelling longer than other areas of the body that are less dependent.

Answer: What happened to my mons? Hello and thank you for your question. Unfortunately I think your tummy tuck scar is too high. Before doing anything I however would suggest waiting for at least 6 months to see how everything settles. If unhappy at that point a revision to lower your scar and improve your mons can be done.Peter Fisher M.D.

Answer: Swelling in Mons Pubis Not sure how far you are from surgery, but your photos show a lot of swelling. Continue wearing your compression garment, and follow up with your surgeon to confirm you are healing as you should. Best wishes!
