Breast Augmentation with Fibrocystic Breasts: are there any notable side effects?

Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  In general fibrocystic breasts will not impact the results of a breast augmentation but be sure to have any lumps or masses in the breasts thoroughly vetted.  Hope this helps.

We've done countless breast augmentation operations on patients with fibrocystic breasts (this is a common condition, not really a "disease").  In my experience this does not affect the outcome materially.  Without an exam, it will not be possible to fully evaluate you and give you recommendations. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons.
