I really want something done to my breast, I have the size I want I just don't have the shape but theses before & after photos are not convincing me. They look flattened and smushed together. I want round perky breast. They don't even have to be huge just noticeable & pretty

A breast lift involved enclosing the patient's own breast tissue in a smaller skin envelope. How perky the breast looks after surgery depends in part on the plastic surgeon and the surgical technique, but it also depends on the tone of the patient's own tissue. (See link below.)You should see a board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you and let you know what can and can't be done.When looking at before and after photos, try to find someone who looks like you before surgery in order to get a better idea of what is possible.

There is definitely an art to breast surgery and many factors go in to getting the best result possible: the quality of your tissues (great skin quality? dense breast tissue?), the technique of the surgeon (superiorly-based pedicle vs inferiorly based pedicle), how much tissue is left behind (gravity does always win), use of adjunctive procedures to help shape your breasts (fat grafting to the upper pole), and how well you take care of your breasts afterward (wearing the correctly fitted bra).  You align all these factors and you will get the breasts you desire.  Find a surgeon who can deliver and you won't be disappointed.

breast surgery is all about size and shape. It is impossible to have large breasts lifted and last. Gravity takes over and there is nothing to hold the heavy breast tissue up. With any breast lift, it is hard to get upper pole fullness, like you frequently see with breast implants. My advice to you is to find a result that you like and show it to your surgeon and see what it would take to get that result. It might be a breast reduction, it might be a combination procedure. The good news is that most of the time a good surgeon is able to achieve desired results if they know what you want.

Like many visitors to this site you are hoping for an ideal transformation to your sagging breasts. The photos you show on your " wish list " are not lifted and may in fact be augmented. Quite a difference.  There are not too many variations in mastopexy and unfortunately none of them are likely to achieve your desiresd goals. Your very large areolas will need major reduction and unfortunately there will be scars. I suggest visiting several Board Certified Plastic surgeons in you area and choosing who you feel most comfortable with and are able to display realistic results. Long term perky, round appearing breasts are hard to achieve with your starting point but I suspect you will be very pleased with the majority of qualified plastic surgeons in your area.

Breast lifts are an example where skill and experience really counts for good results.It is where the art and science of surgery collide.Also many flat results may be patients without much breast volume to begin with or those with large but flat broad breasts preop who maybe needed implants as well for best reults

When the breasts get ptotic certain changes occur including descent of the nipples until they become pointing downwards and the skin envelop stretches. In addition the gland itself becomes flattened out rather than cone shape. It looks to me that you would be a better candidate for a breast reduction than a breast lift by itself. During a breast reduction breast tissue is removed and the residual breast tissue is elevated, so you also get a lift.
