I am 16 years old, I know I am young, but I am extremely unhappy with my boobs, I'm quite fit and do dancing about 10-14 hours a week after school although i find it difficult and sometimes painful with my breasts as they are quite saggy, their not small my cup size is like a 10DD and being a dancer it is quite embarrassing and very annoying seeing that i am constantly bouncing and jumping around and we can't wear sports bras just a leotard, although despite dancing I'm also quite self conscious

Answer: Breast Lift at age 16 In order to give you the best advice, you would need to post photos. However, even with photos a consultation and physical exam would still be necessary. I am unfamiliar with protocol in Australia but in the United States, a minor would need consent from their parent or guardian in order to have elective surgery. Most importantly, there are many young girls who do not like their breasts and experience the same struggle you are facing. It is important to remember that there is definitely hope to attain the breast shape and size that you desire.Best of luck,

Answer: DD cup size would benefit from a reduction, not just a lift DD cup size would benefit from a reduction, not just a lift. Although you are still young and your breasts may continue to change, it is reasonable to do something for you now to help you with your appearance and physical activities.

Answer: I'm 16 years old and have saggy boobs. It's really hard being young and I also do a lot of sport. Should I have a breast lift? I am sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing. Every patient is different; therefore, I try to individualize timing of surgery on a case-by-case basis. Based on your description, you may be an excellent candidate for breast lifting/reduction now or in the relatively near future. Best to seek consultation, with well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate significant experience helping patients achieve the types of outcomes you would be pleased with. Make sure that you learn about the pros/cons as well as the potential risks/complications associated with breast lifting/reduction surgery; only then will you be able to make an informed decision about whether or not to proceed and if so time the operation according to your preferences and life circumstances… You may find the attached link, dedicated to breast lifting surgery concerns, helpful to you as you learn more. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast Lift at 16 You should consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon for an evaluation. At a size DD, you might find that the weight of your breasts contributes to your annoyance at jumping and bouncing while dancing. A breast reduction incorporates a lift into the procedure, so this may be something to explore as you consider surgery. Breast surgery in teens is typically done in girls who are symptomatic and whose breast size and growth has plateaued. Heavy breasts can cause symptoms like back and neck pain and difficulty exercising. I've had many teens who have been ecstatic after breast reduction surgery.
