Once you get the abdominal etching liposuction, will it have any bad side effects for training abs and doing athletic activity?

Once I get the Abdominal Etching some time surgery I'll be training my abs more to give it a more defined look and get a stronger core, but will getting this surgery pervent or negate you from strengthening the abs.

Thank you for your question regarding exercise after abdominal etching liposculpture. Abdominal etching or VASER Hi-DEF six-pack liposculpture, does not have a bad effect on training your abs. In fact, in my experience of having performed VASER Hi-DEF six-pack procedure for almost 20 years, is that the VASER HI-DEF makes your training even more effective. During VASER HI-DEF liposculpture, fat is removed around the rectus abdominis musculature. This leads to a more visible rectus abdominis musculature.
  
I find that patients who exercise after their VASER HI-DEF six-pack procedures are more motivated because their results are more visible. Often, patients get frustrated with constant exercise with minimal visible results, especially in the abdominal area. When the abdomen is debulked of the fat around the six-pack muscle, the six-pack muscle is more visible. Further exercise after abdominal etching, makes the muscles more visible and serves to positively reinforce exercise. 
  
Therefore, there are no bad effects for training the abdomen after VASER HI-DEF. On the contrary, it appears that the VASER HI-DEF six-pack abdominal liposculpture encourages patients to exercise after the procedure for even more heightened results. Liposuction abdominal etching doesn’t enter into the muscular system therefore shouldn’t affect your muscles in any way (growth or strength). 
But do follow your surgeon’s guidelines post-op to ensure no complications - ie. bleeding / hematoma. 
Let your surgeon also clear you before you hit the gym after surgery - but it shouldn’t be too long of a wait after surgery.

This a great question! Abdominal etching is a very delicate and artistic procedure that will define and highlight your own abdominal wall. I feel that patients that continue working out and strengthening their body get the best results. After surgery, I usually recommend not to exercise for 4-6 weeks but after the healing process, I encourage to start slowly and build up to your previous routine. Best, Dr. RG.

Abdominal etching, also known as high definition body sculpting, is specifically designed to frame muscle groups.  Based on the photography you shared, I think you would be an excellent candidate.  The surgery does not affect the muscles -- it actually sculpts the fat above the muscle groups and an exercise program is important to maintain the muscle results (as with all liposuction).  
Results are highly dependent on the surgeon's artistic sensibilities and I have made it a point to study neo-classical sculpture in order to better design the operations.  It also depends on the surgeon's appreciation of the anatomical organization of fat layers.
