I got a high profile 375cc saline under muscle implants. Before ba I was about a 34B in bra size. I wanted to become a D. I think my outcome came out looking smaller than I thought. I know when the swelling goes down they’ll look even smaller. Could I have gone bigger like 500cc or more? Than you. The picture is from the day after surgery.

Based on your picture this size looks perfect for your frame, 500 cc would have been too big for you in my opinion.

Thank you for your question and photograph.  A 375cc implant would increase your bra cup size by approximately one and one half.  My advice is to wait a full 4-6 months before considering the final result of your procedure.  An implant exchange could be considered after healing is complete should you desire a larger implant.  Good luck.

You are correct that your breasts will look somewhat smaller when the swelling has resolved. From your photos and information, it is possible that you could have accomodated a larger implant. There are many factors that must be considered when selecting the correct size implant for a given patient. It is important that you communicate your desires to your surgeon so that they will select appropriatly. In my practice , I find having the patient provide photos of their desired outcome to be of much greater assistance than either cup size or implant volume.

LadyGeorgia.  At this early stage you look pretty darn good. Your muscle and skin need to relax and adjust to the breast implants. As this occurs, your breast shape will change and you will look larger. Your frame is fairly petite, and I think that this will be a nice size for you. Hello and thank you for the question. You are obviously early in the healing process. Over time and once the implants settle in their final position behind the breast tissue, you will probably have more projection actually. Whether or not you could have bigger implants depends on other factors including skin envelope, breast base width and some other measurements. At this point, I would wait for another several weeks and if you are still unhappy with the size, discuss with your surgeon for implant exchange. You mentioned your implants are saline, so depending on the size of the implants that were used, sometimes your surgeon can inject a little more saline into the same implants to slightly increase the volume. However, there is a limit to that; so, if you are interested in significantly higher-volume implants, then you will need new implants. Different practices have different policies in terms of costs, etc. Typically, the exchange procedure is a much shorter surgery with a quicker recovery time as the pockets for implants placement are already dissected and ready. Thank you for your question and photograph, and it appears that you will have a very nice result. After placement of implants, the appearance of the breasts will change dramatically over the next several months as the implants drop and the overlying tissue stretches to accommodate the extra volume. In your case the swelling from surgery is flattening your implants and holding them high on your chest.  Though they will not get bigger, the volume within the implant will redistribute towards the lower portion of your breast achieving a more natural appearance, and filling your bra cup more.   I know waiting is difficult, but judge your results at 4-6 months after surgery as most of your breast changes should have occurred by then. Thanks for your question and submitting your photo.  Good communication with your surgeon is important both before and after surgery.  There are many variables that go into choosing an implant and each case is individualized for the patient.  There are many sizing systems available as well as 3D imaging that provides very realistic simulations for different implant sizes on your frame.  We have found that using the Vectra 3D imaging system allows us to really deliver consistent results and minimizes the revision rate.  As you go through the recovery process, partner with your surgeon to develop a plan and don't rush into another operation to place bigger implants without a good understanding of how the change will be different from what you have.  Although your frame may be able to accommodate a larger size, the additional size and weight of the implants may cause issues down the road.  It really is a very complex scenario and good communication with your surgeon is very important to achieving your final desired look.  Best wishes on a speedy recovery and great result.

It will take 3-6 months to see the final appearance of your breasts, so at this point have patience, enjoy your breasts, and adapt to your new body image. If in the future after everything settles you still think they are too small, it's always possible to consider revision surgery and upsizing at a later time.

You have a very nice looking result at this stage. You have a small frame and 500 cc implants would look fake on you and worse, you would be more likely to have late complications from overly large implant like 500 cc implants.

Thank you for your question. The day after surgery is to early to determine the final appearance. As your body heals the appearance of your implants will change and look better after the initial bruising and swelling goes away. Allow yourself time to heal.
