Using Icy hot for back pain after BA? 3 days post-op.

Question

I have my BA on Thursday 3 days ago and since I am not sleeping like my normal self I am having back pain is it okay to use Icy hot? I would love to consult with my surgeon but its Saturday. I am not having pain at all just on my back.

I wouldn't have a problem with my patients using it if they called me.  If you have a postoperative concern, you should bring the issue up to your surgeon.  They have a better ability to evaluate your issues and make sure there are no acute problems than asking online sites like this one.
