Using Icy hot for back pain after BA? 3 days post-op.

Thank you for your question.Icy hot is fine to use on an area that did not have surgery. I would still touch base with your surgeon today to let them know what is going on and see if they have any concerns or suggestions.

Using Icy Hot or any similar topical analgesic for back pain after breast augmentation surgery (BA) should be approached with caution and only with the approval of your plastic surgeon. Since you're only three days post-op, your body is still in the initial stages of healing, and the skin around the surgical area may be sensitive or compromised.
Before applying any topical treatments, it's crucial to consult with your plastic surgeon to ensure it won't interfere with your healing process or cause any adverse reactions. They may have specific recommendations or restrictions regarding pain management methods during the early stages of recovery. They might also suggest alternative pain relief methods that are safe and effective for your situation.

I wouldn't have a problem with my patients using it if they called me.  If you have a postoperative concern, you should bring the issue up to your surgeon.  They have a better ability to evaluate your issues and make sure there are no acute problems than asking online sites like this one. 

Seems logical and reasonable to me, but you should check with your surgeon to make sure he/she is ok with this.  Hope this helps!
