Hi and thanks for your question and photos. I do see asymmetry and poor definition in your nose. You would benefit from a rhinoplasty. I charge $7500 for a rhinoplasty and the surgicenter fee is $1630. I do offer a $500 discount for students which you appear to be with your Penn State sweatshirt. I would be happy to see you for a consultation with computer imaging.
Your nose can be refined and defined, and the "unevenness" greatly improved. This however can only be accomplished with surgery, rhinoplasty. Please consult with an experienced facial plastic surgeon to be evaluated and discuss your options.
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on yourphotograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon canaccomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in yourlower nose. Cost varies based on geographic region and surgeon expertise. Make sure you specifically look at before and afterpictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeonand not just a computer animation system. The most importantaspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seekconsultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluateyou in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Thanks for your question, your nose appears deviated in the photos, this can be corrected with surgery which may include straightening the bones or cartilage. Any maneuvers done to improve your breathing, assuming you have some nasal congestion, would be covered by insurance. Anything done for purely cosmetic reasons would be an extra out of pocket charge and could range anywhere from $2,000.00-$10,000 depending on how much work needs to be done. I would recommend an evaluation with a rhinoplasty surgeon in you area for an exam and full evaluation.
First, all noses are a bit asymmetric and nostril apertures are never exactly the same. A crooked nose can be corrected with rhinoplasty. You need to be seen in person to determine what might be best for you.
It appears as though the cartilage on the outside and inside of your nose has developed asymmetrically. This could be a result of early childhood trauma or congenital in nature, meaning that the nose just grew that way. There is not a way to correct these deformities permanently without surgery. To reconstruct your nose the septum will need to be straightened to provide a midline foundation for the remainder of the structures. The tip cartilage on the right and left side will need to be made symmetric through resection or graftingand the overall nose needs to be narrow. During this process the nose will be fractured which allows straightening. It is occasionally necessary to graft to the margin of the nostrils to create symmetry. You should seek a rhinoplasty specialist because of the overall complexity of your nasal anatomy.
A septorhinoplasty will be necessary to improve your crooked asymmetrical nose. Cost will be determined after an examination to determine what should be done. Your health insurance may help if they will contribute to the cost of improving your nasal breathing which is probably obstructed.
Thank you for your question and photographs.A rhinoplasty would be the best procedure to correct the crooked appearance. You may also benefit from some tip refinement and an alarplasty to make the nostrils more symmetrical. Although, due to the crookedness of your nose, you may have some internal issues that need corrected so you may also need a septoplasty. I would recommend that you schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty to have a nasal examination performed and a review of your medical history to see what the best options are for you to achieve you cosmetic goals. In regards to cost, this varies based on surgeon and location. I can tell you that the RealSelf average cost for a rhinoplasty is between $7,000-$8,000 and if a septoplasty is needed, this should be covered by your insurance. Best of luck in your endeavors.Sincerely,James Fernau, MD, FACSBoard Certified ENTBoard Certified Plastic SurgeryMember of ASPS, ASAPS, ISAPS, The Rhinoplasty Society, AAFPRS, OTO/HNS, ASLMS, International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics & Science
