I am only 23 , but my breasts have looked like this as soon as they suddenly appeared on my chest at 17. I am deeply insecure, and finding a lot of doctors online saying tuberous breasts are difficult to correct, does not help! I am wondering how severe my tuberous breasts are and what stage of sagging they are at? I am not looking for perfect boobs, but would a regular breast lift help reduce the deformity, or would I need an entire reconstruction? I am a size C (never can fit a bra properly).
Answer: Tuberous breasts Hi. You could have a very nice result with a breast lift. It shouldn’t be difficult so go for an in-person consultation with a board certified PS to learn more specifically what the outcome would be. Best of luck!

Answer: Tuberous breasts Dear Terrific841450, tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Tubular Breasts Thank you for your question. Tubular breast deformity is fairly common and something I treat on a regular basis. You definitely would need implants AND a lift to get an attractive result. Often times, I will perform a technique I developed called Reductive Augmentation which also involves removal of extra beast tissue so I can use the implant to shape the breast. You should be able to achieve a beautiful result. Best wishes to you.

Answer: Bellesoma Method The technique I recommend is a lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Thank you for your question and photos. An examination in person would be required to precisely and properly advise you, however based on your photos you appear to indeed have a very common problem of breasts that are prematurely droopy for your age, with some asymmetry, with the right breast appearing to be larger than the left. An experienced board certified plastic surgeon should be able to advise you specifically but it appears that you would be an excellent candidate for a right breast reduction and left, and a left breast lift. This would to a large extent eliminate your ptosis (drooping or sagging) reduce the diameter of your areolae, restore symmetry and a youthful and age appropriate appearance to your breasts, which should also help with your confidence and self esteem. You should not require implants. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon whose results appeal to you, based on his or her Before and After gallery. Best of luck to you.
