I have a zigzag scar on my neck that is over 50 years old. The scar is prominent.

The scar looks very raised still. Even though it is very old, steroids can still work to flatten the scar tissue. We prefer Kenalog to flatten raised scars. After the scar is flat, if you want to work on improving the texture of the skin, fractional laser resurfacing would be a good option.
