Old scars, I had cortisone injects years ago to flatten a keloid that developed. Will this product work on an old scar? (photo)

Hello.  We are sorry that you have not received more specific information in the answers below but we will provide a more direct recommendation.  The scar looks very raised still.  Even though it is very old, steroids can still work to flatten the scar tissue.  We prefer Kenalog to flatten raised scars.  After the scar is flat, if you want to work on improving the texture of the skin, fractional laser resurfacing would be a good option.  To see examples of Kenalog injections and laser resurfacing before and after photos, visit the link below.

This scar can be improved with a combination approach of lasers, microneedling/prp, subcision and fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer
