Hello: I am considering chin lipo. Curious about recovery time when I have a 2 year old. Should I wait until I don't need to pick them up so much?
Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear Enthusiastic924181, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Getting liposuction with a toddler at home Much more information is needed, such as a full set of facial and neck photographs, your age, and the status of the skin Tone in your neck. It's also important to understand that liposuction can only remove fat deposits located above the platysma muscle, and if you have fat deposits located below the platysma muscle that will require a surgical neck lift.

Answer: Getting chin liposuction Chin liposuction is a pretty easy procedure to recover from. Unless your two-year-old pushes or hits you directly in the neck you should be OK to have the procedure. People perceive surgical recovery quite differently. Those who can handle mild adversities in life well should have no trouble recovering from this procedure. People find even minor challenges overwhelming may find it difficult. I think most people find chin and neck Liposuction fairly easy to recover from. For this procedure it’s fairly important to get an accurate assessment and confirm that the underlying ideology isn’t all bone related rather than fat. The Great majority of people especially young people who seek chin and neck Liposuction have an undersized mandible in comparison to the Maxilla. This causes a premature double chin, lack of jawline definition and premature jowls. it sounds to also go hand-in-hand with having a dental overbite occlusion and a profile pictures showing the upper lip as having more forward projection than the lower lip Those who have tight skin and modest to thick amounts of fat usually see good improvements from liposuction even if the primary problem is based on bone structure. Still, it’s important to understand what the primary cause or ideology is. If the primary problem is based on bone structure and the treatment is based on soft tissue manipulation patients should expect a partial improvement. When in doubt have multiple consultations. During in person consultations ask providers to show their entire collection of before and after pictures. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you 50 or more sets of before and after pictures. Highly experienced providers should have several hundred. Liposuction is permanent and irreversible. Finding the right plastic surgeon is the most important variable. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
