It is very important NOT to be pregnant when undergoing elective cosmetic surgery, whether it's local or general anesthesia. It's also very important understand that many patients have significant fat deposits underneath the platysma muscle of the neck, which requires surgical removal with a neck lift procedure and a platysma plasty. Liposuction will only remove the fat deposits above the platysma muscle.
