Peroxide to clean butt augmentation incisions and remove glue?

After 3 weeks, the small incisions from the cannulas on a gluteal augmentation should be completely healed, at this point is safe to shower and let clean water do the work. You don't need to use any antiseptic solution, unless there is concern for infection. Ask your plastic surgeon to evaluate the incisions to make sure they are healing the way they are supposed to be.

Hi and thanks for your question.  I would ask your plastic surgeon how they typically take care of their incisions.  In my practice, If the glue is still present after a few weeks I get them to use Vaseline (or polysporin) on it to dissolve the glue.  Hydrogen peroxide can damage the cells and slow your wound healing.Hope this helps!!

Peroxide indeed can be harmful to the tissues so is best avoided. Gently washing with soap and water to keep your incisions clean would be better - the glue should already be falling off and you can let it do that or trim it off as it's coming off. Lightly applying Vaseline will further soften the glue and make it come off easier.

It is never a good idea to rub peroxide on your body unless you are trying to kill germs/bacteria/grossly contaminated tissues; This will only kill your body cells and create a wound along your incisions.
