How soon can I return to work after BBL?

Recovery time will vary greatly with the patient and the skill of the surgeon. Most patients can return to work at a sedentary job within one week.  Strenuous activity can be resumed in 6 weeks.
Data collected from the hundreds of BBLs I have performed indicates that the average pain or discomfort period lasts from 3 -  7 days, depending upon the amount of fat injected into each buttock.  For most of my patients, I tell them that at 6 weeks there is still a great deal of swelling in the abdomen, sides, and back (or wherever the liposuction was performed) and they will only look better in 6 months.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Thank you for your question. Recovery from liposuction and the BBL is usually one to two weeks. During this period, patients may notice bruising and tenderness in the areas where liposuction was performed. Most patients are able to return to work one week after the procedure. It is best to resume strenuous activities such as exercise four to six weeks following surgery. Talk with your surgeon about any concerns. Hope this helps,Dr. Newall 

Hello and Thank you for your question. I usually recommend my patients two weeks. But after having a liposuction and Bbl, it is possible to return to work in a week. I advise you to seek to for a board certified plastic surgeon and have your personal consultation.

Most patients resume light daily activities in a few days, and return to work in about a week. Consult your surgeon regarding post op care since he/she knows the extent of your specific surgery.

Hello dear!Thanks for the question and provided information as well.I recommend you to ask directly to your plastic surgeon, but usually two weeks is the time recommended. It's possible to return to work 5 days after surgery, but the healing process and the swollen will be slower.Good luck :)
