Can your menstrual cycle affect your hemoglobin score? I'm 18 days before my BBL.

There can be some normal variation in your hemoglobin/hematocrit (blood tests), depending on how the sample was drawn or the way the lab processed it.  Menstruation might cause a very slight decrease in your lab values.  If you tend to have very heavy cycles or have a history of iron-deficiency anemia, talking with your primary care physician about eating lots of iron-rich foods (like meat, beans, spinach) or taking iron supplements.  Before you schedule another blood draw, give your surgeon a call to see what he/she thinks about your hemoglobin values.

Hello dear!Thanks for the question and provided information as well.Certainly, the menstrual cycle can affect if your hemoglobin levels goes down too much and depending on the procedure you are having. To help increasing the hemoglobin levels you can take Folic Acid, Vitamin C and Iron.Hope this could help, and i recommend you to keep in touch with your plastic surgeon to talk about your worries and his recommendations.Good luck :)
