Not responding to Botox (Azzalure) - what are my options?

I suggest you consult with a specialist to asses your case, it is rare for a person to develop immunity to botox but it is within the realm of possibility. To know for sure if you need Dysport or Xeomin the specialist has to evaluate your skin type, how those lines are made, how deep they go, what your expectations are and how the product is applied. best wishes! I have been using all types of anti-wrinkle injections - Botulinumtoxin type A ( Botox, Azzalure, Xeomin Dysport, Allergan and Bocouture ) for more than 22 years. The brand has no roll in your case. Most likely it was a faulty vial.

If Botox is not an option for you, Dysport or Xeomin are the next options. I suggest dermarolling at home to give the skin Botox-like effects with at-home treatment. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

You can try either Xeomin or Dysport as alternatives to Botox. Be sure you are seeing an expert injector for your treatment and that the number of units is appropriate for the area. I've included a video on neuromodulators that I hope you find helpful.

It is always best to see you face to face for a consult and examination however in this case the usual issue is dose- the injector needs t be confident in delivering a high enough dose which will work for you. Some people can develop antibodies which is unique to that specific drug. This is very unusual. If you see a line still but it's not moving, the toxin worked and the line might be etched in leaving it noticeable. Botulinum toxin does work it just may not last as long or it needs to be dosed correctly for the specific person. Usually different brands of botulinum toxin don't make a big difference with the treatment or the results. Dysport tends to diffuse further out after treatment so it is possible that it can treat a larger area than botulinum toxin can, but the effects shouldn't vary by much.
