how can I convince a lip plaster injector to use juvaderm voluma or volux in my lips? I’m someone who has filler in the past and when I’ve healed I didn’t retain a good amount of volume it would look like I never even had filler. Should I just tell her I’m aware it’s not usually used in lips but I really want dramatic volume and I’m signing off on it and am aware of what I’m asking? I feel like for the price of fillers I need to be seeing a big change that fits the aesthetic I want.

Hello Unfortunately Juvederm VOLUMA is contraindicate for the lips. If looking for fullness then I would recommend Juvederm Ultra or Juvederm Ultra plus. Additionally you could try some toxin to the orbicularis oris ( Otherwise known as the lip flip) to evert the top lip more. Good...

You could ask to be skin tested with Voluma on your arm and watch for 2 weeks to see if you have an reaction.

Voluma usually lasts up to two years except in runners and very athletic people. If residual is present, there is an enzyme that can remove up to 90%. Your lips are too large for your face and do need to be smaller. You can just wait and let it go down slowly, or have it removed.
