In December 2015 I had Voluma placed in my cheeks by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. 1 Voluma placed in cheeks and Swelling, redness and discomfort occur beginning at 5 days later but dissipate around 2 weeks after the injection. 2. Swelling slowly started to return in February 2015. Provider who had performed the injection prescribes antibiotics and steroids over the phone and they resolve swelling. 3. Swelling returns in June 2015 and I head to ER (photo included) Filler dissolved.

Voluma usually lasts up to two years except in runners and very athletic people. If residual is present, there is an enzyme that can remove up to 90%. Your lips are too large for your face and do need to be smaller. You can just wait and let it go down slowly, or have it removed.
The Voluma is gone, but you may have some scarring. Laser or chemical peels may help the discoloration. Careful steroid injections may help the lumps. Please go visit with a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist who does a lot of filler injections.
