I understand bumps and bruises go down after a while however, on the bottom right side of my lip it looks like there's no filler and next to that a large bump of filler. The rest of my mouth looks pretty even but when I purse or talk you can see this bump and where it looks empty next to it. Do you think this will even out or is it likely something that will need to be corrected by dissolving the bump and/or adding filler to that corner? Thanks in advance for your help!
Answer: Lip injections Swelling and bruising are common after lip injections and can take up to two weeks to resolve. Sometimes gentle massage of the area can help the lips smooth. If after two weeks you still have concerns, return to your injector for an evaluation.

Answer: Juvederm in the lips Hi thank you for your question. It can take up to 2 weeks for bruising and swelling to resolve. If it had only been 4 days since treatment when the photo was taken it is possible this could correct itself. However, you would need to wait the full 14 days to see your final result. If after 2 weeks there is still unevenness you may dissolve any unwanted filler with hyaluronidase or add more filler to get your desired result.

Answer: 4 days after Lip filler Thank you for your question. Lip filler can cause some swelling and can make it appear asymmetric, and sometimes bumpy. You can try gently massaging the area. I would wait 1-2 wks, most often the filler settles nicely by 2 weeks. If it does not settle by 2 wks, see your injector for an evaluation.

Answer: 4 days after lip filler Hello - since it is still very early since your injections, I would recommend waiting 10-14 days before assessing final results. At that time if you still have concerns, I would recommend reaching out to your provider to be seen in person. Best - Dr. Singleton

Answer: Unevenness after injection Hi there, while I do agree that you should wait another week for the material and any bruising/swelling to settle down, you may consider visiting your injecting physician sooner for a follow up. Sometimes, depending on the specific filler material used and depth of injection, you may gets a bunch up of material resulting in a less than perfect appearance. In the first few days following injection, it is usually easier to massage the material and smooth out any bumps resulting from clumped up filler. Hope this helps!
