I had my revision surgery from 225 cc to 450cc two days ago. They are smaller than I expected. They are over the muscle. Will they fluff? I was so worried about going to 450cc, but now I’m wondering if I actually went too small. Thanks!
Answer: Will my new implants (225cc to 450cc) fluff as they seem smaller than expected? Much will depend on exactly what was done during the procedure. "Dropping and fluffing" (a process wherein breasts may appear to be larger as breast implant "settle") may not necessarily occur with revisionary breast surgery. At this point, I would suggest: rest, patience and close follow up with your plastic surgeon who will be your best resource when it comes to accurate assessment of concerns, advice, and (hopefully) meaningful reassurance. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be pleased with long-term.

Answer: Will get better Thanks for your question. You are only two days post op! Just like after your first BBA, it will take time for the tissue adjust to the implants. Having increased size by over 200 cc, you will definitely see a change! Best Regards.Dr Deboni@drdeboni

Answer: BA results Dear Lindseyy08,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 2 days post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Worried I didn't go big enough 2 days after surgery Hi and thank you for the question. You are really early on in the recovery period. Your breasts are going to change for the next 3-6 months so you have to watch and wait. Generally speaking, I usually tell patients who want to see a noticeable difference in implant volume (whether they are going up or down in size) that it takes about 150-250cc's to make a difference. You are right in that ballpark, so my guess is that you may well be happy after everything settles. Best of luck. Dr West

Answer: Give it time! Thanks for your question! GIVE IT TIME! That big of a jump in size means your skin still needs to stretch out over the implant, thereby currently giving a smaller, compressed appearance. Many times it takes up to 4-6 months for results to fully express. Best of luck!
