I know you need to wear a top that you can take off easily after the surgery, as it may be soiled and most people get into something like comfy pj's and rest or sleep once they get home. But, is it cold in the operating room? Should you wear something with long sleeves to keep warm? or sleeveless?
Answer: About the Facelift Surgerical Procedure #Facelifts and ancillary procedures are usually performed as #outpatient in a surgery center. A one night stay in post-operative care facility may be advisable in some cases. But, local #anesthetic combined with intravenous sedation is usually used. This will allow the patient to sleep through most of the procedure. General anesthesia is available upon request however is usually not necessary. Being this is an outpatient surgery, you will be provided the proper surgical wear to abide by surgical protocols and sanitation practices. The Lite-lift™ is generally performed with a local anesthetic and medication by mouth, which will keep you comfortable during the procedure and allow for an easier recovery. For more information about Lite-lift™, I welcome you to visit my website link provided below.

Answer: Facelift attire Thanks for posting your question. A facelift / neck lift can be performed under local anesthesia and oral sedation. More and more patients are requesting this method for easier recovery and more surgeons are becoming familiar with this method. That being said what the patient wears is dependent on the office or surgery center where the procedure is being performed. A gown may be put on for the procedure and then changed back into your own clothes. Loose comfortable clothing is needed. A top with a button or zipper opening is ideal because a head dressing will be placed and it is easier not to put on anything over the head. Temperature will be controlled. You will have a blanket or two and sterile drapes on top of you. Good luck!

Answer: If you have a face/neck lift under local and oral sedation, will you be wearing a hospital gown? Typically. When aesthetic procedures are performed under light sedation, IV sedation ( i.e, twilight anesthesia, conscious sedation), or general anesthesia a hospital gown is worn, but some are more comfortable than others. The gown is simply a cover for you when you move from the changing area to the operating room. The gowns are typically cleaned by a professional service guaranteeing their cleanliness over and beyond a traditional washer and dryer. Additionally, the gown is typically worn over your underwear if your procedure is performed under local and oral sedation, and most (but not all) IV sedation procedures. With a general anesthesia it is typically just you and the gown. However, your surgeon or surgery center will instruct you what you can and can not wear, and it is important to follow their directions. Also, remember the gown is also likely to get soiled from the sterilizing solution used on the skin prior to surgery or from other fluids so it actually is beneficial to wear one and save your clothes.I hope this helps.
