I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. Hello and thank you for posting your question. Photos of the breasts help us get an idea, but size is determined between the surgeon and the patient after a physical evaluation. Some patients might need a lift as well. A big implant can help avoid a lift in some cases but 800cc might be too big for most patients. Try a follow up question with breasts photos fr a more detailed answer or try contacting a plastic surgeon via this platform for more information.Best of luck,Dr. Miguel Mota
Dear GoddessofMinerva, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Although your photo does not show your breasts, I doubt 800 cc's will work for you. Very few women can carry that much weight well on their neck and shoulders, and not stretch what tissue they have very thinly. During your consultation, you will be measured and examined, and can try on the range of sizes that best fits your frame and tissue. Please do not go too large or you will ruin your breasts.
Hello Dear! Choosing your breast implant size depends on the natural size of your breasts also. If the breast tissue is already too much, choosing a smaller implant size will still give you the big and perky look that you desire. In this case, placing 800 cc would exceed your expectations. In this kind of cases, the best option would be providing photos of the breast and informing the doctor about your breast size. After a consultation, the best implant size will be decided with the help of your doctor to make your dreams come true.
Hi and welcome to our forum! The most important measurement when electing implant size is base width diameter (BWD) which is the diameter of the base of the implant. It's the footprint of the implant on your chest. It should approximate the diameter of your breast. If too narrow, no cleavage...If too wide, exaggerated cleavage and "lateral boob". You can find available implant sizes, widths and profiles on each manufacturer's website (Mentor, Allergan, etc). It is best to choose an implant size proportionate to the rest of your body. An 800 cc implant may be fine for a larger individual but significantly out of proportion for a smaller person.Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion. You will be guided through the process of implant sizing.Best wishes...
With nonspecific signs like this I would always recommend seeing a plastic surgeon for evaluation. They are likely to recommend you have an ultrasound of your breasts to rule out any more concerning Diagnoses.
Thank you for your questions & photos. From your photos, you are a good candidate for a breast lift. The breast lift will raise and reshape your breast & areola addressing the majority of your goals. You can transfer your own fat to your breast or a breast implant can be placed to achieve fuller...
Thank you for your question. Due to the volume of your breasts, I do not believe you will need a breast lift. A breast augmentation should give you the aesthetic and results you desire. I would speak with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and for further evaluation.
