I had a breast lift with 535cc silicone implants done last year. I feel like they have settled too low, is it normal ? Could they be bottomed out? Would I need to redo the lift?? Thank you :)
Answer: Breast lift Unfortunately donut lifts often end up like this especially when you get implants that are too large. You need to have a real lift and downsize your implants. Many surgeons think a donut lift with a large implant is a good strategy. But many of these women end up having your exact same problem

Answer: Breast Lift Thank you for your question. With implants of this size, it is reasonable to assume that gravity will bring them to a lower position over time. A mastopexy procedure certainly will bring the breasts to a higher, more youthful aesthetic; however, gravity will likely bring the breasts back down to a similar position over time. I recommend speaking with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options.

Answer: Breasts The problem is your breast tissue cannot support the weight of such heavy implants and they have sagged. Relifting won't last long. I would suggest going smaller and lifting, or just keeping what you have and wear very good supporting bras.

Answer: Full breast lift recommended Although a side photo would be helpful, it does look like your nipples are located below your breast fold. Therefore, a full breast lift is recommended.

Answer: Smaller implants Your implants are too heavy and are bottoming out. You will need smaller implants placed higher and inferior plication. You may also require an inframammary incision to correct the excess bottomed out skin. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear cielolove, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
