I have to wear a hard hat 12hrs a day for work, would I be able to get a FUE hair transplant? (photos)

You can wear a hard hat after surgery but you probably should understand you may not be the best FUE candidate.  Many construction workers and fire fighters who wear hard hats have had FUE or strip surgery and returned to work within the first week or two without issues.  However your age and extensive hair loss pattern may give you disappointing results.  In other words you should see a doctor and better understand what kind of results you may achieve with a hair transplant surgery.

advanced norwood patient you may want to consider the limited restoration you can get before starting on the crown.  However, you can usually wear a hard hat after a few days.

I would not recommend considering hair transplant in your crown. You are Norwood Class 6 and will move to being Class 7. You should see a dermatologist or hair transplant surgeon to pursue medical therapy such as minoxidil and/or finasteride (Propecia). You are 26 years old and your balding will continue. You do not want hair in the middle of your balding crown encircled by a river of bald. I perform both FUE and FUT and both leave scars even in the best surgeons hands (some far better than others). Avoid places that say FUE is scarless, it is not. In addition, FUE will leave visible scarring if donor hair is removed from an area that will become bald. Please continue your research. It is important for you as all patients to avoid bad results.

You have, according to the photos, a very advanced hair loss pattern and having an FUE might not do the job of giving you back your hair in a presentable way. Get a second opinion, and don't rush to a hair transplant

You can return to your normal routine after two weeks if you have healed properly.  Usually hard hat can be worn two to three weeks after the procedure.
