Answer: Can I remove this bump with local anesthesia only? In person exam is essential. Based on limited photos - it appears that you would benefit from Rhinoplasty preferably performed through a closed technique. In our Practice we perform all major surgeries such as Rhinoplasty under general Anesthesia provided by M.D. Anesthesiologist. I do not support Rhinoplasty under local anesthesia under any circumstances. It not only compromises the result but also compromises safety. Safety of the patient is paramount. Furthermore, when performing Rhinoplasty - all elements of the nose need to be addressed in order to achieve the best result, especially when the hump is removed. Once the hump is removed -all relationships must be corrected.

Answer: Side view needed Truly the role for osteotomy is in large part determined by a side view photograph. However, the bump does not seem very substantial. I think I could fix this with local anesthesia in the office in a few minutes.
