6.5 months post op, nose still deviated. Will it become less asymmetrical?

Hi i am currently 6.5 months post op. My nose was deviated to the right prior the surgery. And it still tilts to the same direction. There is little to no swelling on the right side but left side has more swelling. I know that it’s not possible to have a perfectly symmetrical nose but may it become less asymmetric? Also my nostrils are the same as they were pre-op. Right one is more vertical and left one is more horizontal. Why my surgeon didnt touch them as he told me prior?

It's not uncommon for some degree of asymmetry to persist after rhinoplasty surgery, especially during the early stages of the healing process. Swelling and tissue changes can affect the appearance of the nose, and it can take several months or even up to a year for the final results to fully manifest.

If you're currently 6.5 months post-op and notice that your nose still appears deviated and asymmetrical, it's important to discuss your concerns with your surgeon. They will be in the best position to evaluate your specific situation, assess the extent of the deviation, and determine whether any further interventions or treatments may be necessary.

Regarding your nostrils, if you had concerns about their shape or position and your surgeon had discussed addressing them prior to the surgery, it's important to inquire about why they were not addressed during the procedure. Your surgeon may have had valid reasons for their decision, which they can explain to you.

If you remain dissatisfied after discussing your concerns with your initial surgeon, it might be beneficial to seek a second opinion from another qualified and experienced plastic surgeon. They can provide an independent evaluation of your situation and offer alternative treatment options or recommendations.

Hello! Thank you for your question.As far as I can understand from your question, the uneven swelling is normal. Without photo it is hard to make a evaluation. If you can provide photos from front of your face, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. Best Regards!

Despite all the different claims to be able to straighten any nose, the reality is quite different. Having some asymmetry if your nose started off asymmetric is pretty typical in many cases
