Is it unreasonable to return to work the next day after rhinoplasty? I work from home

Hi- long story short I have crappy medical benefits. I work from home on a computer and am not on screen or video nor do I speak on the phone often. I have high pain tolerance. Is it too unreasonable to go back to my work from home job the day after rhinoplasty? (Fixing deviated septum, turbinates, and reducing bulbous tip).

Hi!
I have had patients go back to work as early as 1-2 days after an open rhinoplasty. In my experience the main things that would limit your ability to go back to work would be pain and swelling around the eyes. If you don't have to be in front of a camera or clients, then it's not unreasonable to think you could go back to work after a few days. hope that helps!

When surgeons routinely use nasal packing after rhinoplasty, there tends to be a very uncomfortable patient experience. Nasal packing is painful while it's in and painful when it comes out. If your surgeon is not routinely using nasal packing, depending on your condition, working remotely from home may be an option. That said, rhinoplasty tends to be a procedure with a lot of emotion behind it. If you find your work stressful, it may be a good idea to take a few days off so you can recover in peace. Hi, it is advisable to have a two weeks time off after your surgery. The reason is that your energy level will be low to work even from home

Since you don't have a physically strenuous job, you can definitely start to work again the day following Rhinoplasty surgery. I use an ultrasonic, Rhinoplasty technique, which  results in minimal swelling, bruising, and pain.

Maybe. And I don’t think you’ll know until the day after surgery. You shouldn’t work if you’re taking pain narcotic pain meficine. So it’s possibly you could do some work the day after surgery with your doctors permission of course

No problem.
Many of my patients can work from home the day or two after nasal surgery.It is not particularly painful, and most of them do not need strong medications.
I advise patients who want to work, to do what they can, be prepared to feel quite tired, maybe take a siesta, but make sure that they don't have important work or deadlines, because they might not be up to working at their most productive.
I tell them that walking is fine, no running or lifting weights for 2 weeks, because of the risk of delayed bleeding.

It is possible to do some limited work the next day after your rhinoplasty procedure working from home. Your concentration level may not be in hundred percent, but you can respond to emails on your computer. Important that you're not doing any exercise. Also important to Make sure that you don't have any painful packing placed on the inside of your nose after the procedure.
