Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Thank you for your question. I suggest that you consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
There are several laser choices to help with your skin texture and pores. One of our favourite devices is fractionated non-ablative resurfacing (Fraxel Laser) which is usually done as a series of treatments, has a relatively quick downtime of 2-3 days and can improve the overall quality of the skin. Furthermore this laser can be used on darker skin, another important factor. If someone does not have any recovery time (downtime) we use picosecond rejuvenation laser that can improve your skin texture similar to fraxel ,although more treatments are needed.Lastly, if someone requests the most dramatic improvement with the least number of treatments, we use fractional CO2 laser resurfacing. Although this treatment can lead to incredible results, you will have much longer downtime (on average 1 week) - this is the most specialized procedure and should only be performed by an expert physician to avoid complications.
The best lasers for these issues would be fractionated erbium or CO2 lasers. The results will be dependent on how deep you wish to go with the treatment and the machine/operator. The deeper and more passes you allow will yield better results. Consult your physician about your plan.
An ablative laser such as fractionated CO2 or Erbium is the best treatment for smoothing undereye wrinkles and improving skin texture. This type of treatment removes the top layer of your skin and stimulates healthier skin that is smoother and tighter and stimulates more collagen. While this is a very effective treatment it has more risks and is not a good choice for darker skin types. Other options to improve the pores and skin quality are a few sessions of microneedling with or without PRP, light peels and good skin care.
thanks for your question. There are number of modalities that can assist with pore reduction and skin tightening around the eyes but they all vary in terms of their long lasting effect, side effects, your skin type, result expectation,etc.CO2 fractional laser is one of the best lasers for fare to moderate skin color with great result and down time of 7-10 days. Your second choice could be Erbium fractional laser resurfacing followed by Fractional micro needling such as Intensif by Endy Med medical or Secret RF.You could also inquire about more gentle options as well, such as Micro Dermabrasion, Dermal roller or Dermapen skin needling, RF skin tightening such as Pelleve, Venus Freeze, Endy Med...Good Luck
Hard question to answer without examination. The best laser is CO2, but this may not suit your skin type. If you have large pores I like a combination of microneedling PRP which is not a laser, followed by Picosure Focus, which is a fractional picosecond laser. 2 sessions, and pores reduced by 50-70%. If you have darker skin type, CO2 may not be the ideal laser and other METHODS need to be explored. All the best, Dr Davin Lim, Laser dermatologist. Brisbane. Australia. The best laser for large pores and wrinkles is ablative fractional CO2 laser. MiXto has a computerized Z-pattern hand piece that allows comfortable treatment in an office setting. The parameters used are determined by your aesthetic goals and are adjusted for skin type. Risks do include hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation, and your physician should be able to select appropriate settings to avoid complications. Best wishes.
Hi and thank you for the question. There are a variety of laser treatment options that can offer skin rejuvenation.C02 is the most invasive treatment where the skin is ablated and new healthier (and tighter) skin cells are produced on the treated area over the course a few months. Erbium is a less invasive option, however multiple treatments may be required to achieve substantially improved results. Erbium is an ideal choice for those who aren't able to commit to the necessary downtime required for C02 treatments. Other options include Laser Peels with Fotona SP Dynamis laser system, which can produce impressive skin toning results with their advanced dual wavelength technology. Laser peels gently remove micro-thin layers of the epidermis while the thermal properties of the laser penetrate deeper into the skin to stimulate the production of collagen in the dermis.A consultation with a board certified cosmetic plastic surgeon would be the first step in receiving a customized treatment program catered to your specific concerns.
