I’m a 51 year old women 5’0 125lbs. Very unhappy with my TT results. I’m not sure extra skin tightening or renuvion? I’m sad and embarrassed with my results. Any recommendations will help.
Answer: Residual skin excess Although your result is considered 'within the standard of care', a legalistic term, your results represent a very unartful execution of a tummy tuck. Not only did you get a very high transverse scar, you got a vertical scar that is contiguous with the umbilical scar and the transverse scar, all with residual skin laxity. The only fix is a complete revision of the tummy tuck. This would be the only means of smoothing and tightening the skin, and it will also lower your transverse scar, possibly by as much as two inches at the midline.

Answer: Abdomen I would suggest trying liposuction with Renuvion to your upper abdomen. During the tuck, liposuction cannot be done in the area of the tuck for safety to your skin.

Answer: Tummy tuck I'm sorry you are unhappy with your tummy tuck results. An in person evaluation is best, but from the photos it appears a revision would be needed for improvement. Visit with a few board certified plastic surgeons near you to listen to varying opinions on how best to proceed.

Answer: Unhappy with tummy tuck results - do I need extra skin tightening or Renuvion? Thank you for your question and photos. Based on these photos, I see the reasons for your unhappiness. This is a very poor outcome with poor planning of the operation. You do have excess loose skin and fat above the belly button, you have a very high abdominoplasty scar with a full vertical component and poorly done contouring with liposuction. I would recommend redoing your abdominoplasty, lowering the scar and VASER liposuction 360 degrees to create a feminine shape. I do have the Renuvion, but I would not utilize it in your case, since it will not remove your poorly placed incisions/scars. Any superficial skin treatments will note solve your issues either. Yes, you can spend lots of money on these partially effective or minimally effective treatments, but at the end of the day, you will need your surgery redone. This is not a "revision". See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.
