My tip from the side view is really round and sticks out, its 4 months post op, will it go down a lot?? or will i have to get another one?
Answer: Potential Revision Nose Job At four months into your rhinoplasty recovery, a great proportion of your swelling has already subsided. Still, it can take up to an entire year for swelling to fully settle after a nose job and for your results to be finalized. Based on the description you have provided, it seems as though you are unhappy with the way your tip of the nose has been reshaped. A revision rhinoplasty could be an option to explore to refine the results of your first nose job, but a second surgery is by no means necessary. This is a personal decision, and should not be made until you see the final results of your recovery after one year.

Answer: Has Surgeon Messed Up? Thank you for your question.Without any preoperative or current photos, it is difficult to comment on your case. In general, I recommend that anytime a patient has a question or concern, they contact their surgeon for an evaluation and discussion. Best of luck!

Answer: Bad job in rhinopalsty Without good photos, you're asking an impossible question here. Be sure to discuss with your own surgeon about how this applies to you, and whether they have any special concerns in your case.

Answer: Nasal tip Thank you for your question. Tip projection (how far the tip sticks out from your face) can be a difficult problem for many surgeons. Without photos or an in person exam, I can't really give you any specific answers other than that at 4 months post-op you will probably not notice more than 1 mm or so further reduction in tip projection. De-projecting someone's tip a few mm is fairly straight forward using common rhinoplasty techniques. More than that, it often requires advanced techniques and freeing the lower cartilages more thoroughly. Contact your surgeon with your concerns if you have not already. If you do not feel confident in them or what they are telling you, seek a second opinion. Either way, you probably want to wait close to a year before considering a revision for this type of problem. All the best!
