I got stomach and front flanks lipo and my csection scar lipo 3 months 2 weeks ago They took 600cc, next day after my check up doctor told me I was too swollen to be able to see changes and I did not got rid off of the liquid injected in me. Second day was the best I have ever look But after the edema set in I was back to getting good days and bad days, I use my garment as I was told and resume my exercise right after, first picture left is before lipo right is at 3 month
Answer: 3 months after lipo stomach front flanks and I look exactly the same. Help Thank you for your question and photos. 600cc of fat removed from the whole abdomen and flanks (I assume your surgeon did not turn you to get a better sculpting of the flanks and back), is very conservative. Yes, at 3 months you are still swollen to a certain degree, but swelling will not magically disappear in another 3 months and you will have a sculpted body as it is suggested in the other posts. No, unfortunately, this will not happen.Your results also depend on what you discussed with your surgeon, what was your goal and expectations, did you have traditional liposuction, was it under local only or sedation (intravenous sedation or general anesthesia). All these can affect your results both in a negative or positive way.If you discussed minor fat reduction, you will have minimal improvement. If you discussed body sculpting, then this is a failure.Wait another 3-4 months and seek a second opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques. Good luck with your healing.

Answer: 3 months after lipo stomach front flanks and I look exactly the same. Thank you for your question. Healing after liposuction is usually pretty straight forward. There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery. The later phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens. It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient. Sometimes it takes up to 6 months for patients to see the final results from their liposuction surgery.

Answer: Liposuction results Dear sadlatingirl,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a liposuction. However, you are still in the early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Liposuction Recovery sadlatingirl. I appreciate your concern, but stop being so sad! The fact that you noticed significant improvement at some point after your surgery simply means that you are still swollen and once swelling resolves, your final improved contour will be realized. It can take as long as six months for all swelling to resolve. Try to stay patient and follow up with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.
