After a laparoscopic myomectomy, the safest timing for liposuction/fat transfer/BBL depends on how extensive the myomectomy was, blood loss or anemia, healing of the uterine and abdominal incisions, and clearance from your gynecologist or operating surgeon. For an uncomplicated laparoscopic procedure, many plastic surgeons would want at least about 3 months before elective liposuction and fat transfer, and some prefer 4-6 months or longer after a more involved myomectomy. A BBL with liposuction is still a major elective procedure because of anesthesia, fluid shifts, positioning, and recovery demands. Before moving forward, you should be back to normal activity, have no pelvic or abdominal pain, have healed incisions, and have a normal blood count if there was any anemia. Bring your myomectomy operative report to your plastic surgeon so they can understand what was done internally. If you are considering pregnancy soon, also discuss timing carefully, because pregnancy can change liposuction/BBL results and myomectomy can carry its own pregnancy-related restrictions.
