I’m wondering if I just exercised more if I could go from a DD to a C? I was talking about a reduction to my mother and she said that I don’t need it. I just really don’t like my chest size. I’m 18, 5’4, and 135lbs. I’m on the slimmer side as well. My breasts have already been something I’ve been insecure about and I just want to know the best course of option to go. Thank you in advance
Answer: Exercise from DD to C or Breast Reduction There are two ways to reduce breast size that may work. First, if overweight a woman can lose weight and breasts may get smaller. But, by your numbers you are not overweight: Your BMI is about 23, which is within normal range. Second, if someone is "flabby" with a high body fat percentage exercise--especially weight training--can build muscle and burn fat, potentially reducing the size of a woman's breasts. It's not possible to answer if that might apply to you. It might be helpful for your mother to actually see your breasts (if she hasn't already) and to have her join you in a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to get a professional opinion. Your mother may believe you are too young to make this sort of a decision. Best of luck! Dr. Jim Romanelli

Answer: Diet will definitely help Thanks for your question. There is no doubt that diet change - ( intermittent fasting or a keto diet) will get you down from a DD to C. the only issue may be sagging of the breast as you lose weight. Losing weight slowly will help reduce the amount of dropping but not a definite. A breast lift could be considered in the future if you don't like the amount of droop that you might get after weight loss.

Answer: Breast reduction Some women find that when they lose or gain weight that their breast size changes. If that is true for you, losing weight in a healthy way may decrease your breast size. There are no specific exercises that will increase or decrease breast size. If you are interested in a reduction, see a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation.

Answer: Is it possible I could go from a 34 DD to a C with regular exercise? Hello, thank you for your question. It is hard to tell without photos or a physical examination, losing weight will just give more sagginess in your breast. A breast lift may be necessary, I recommend you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Breast reduction Dear VenusMars08, exercises won't reduce the size of your breasts. Breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts. While there are different techniques used to perform this surgery, I prefer the vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern, which reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. I also use a SAFE liposuction technique to reduce additional fat around the stubborn axilla area and bra line. This way, my patients are achieving beautiful results with minimal incisions which reduces downtime and delivers an overall better breast shape long term.If you are considering breast reduction surgery, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
