I’ve had a failed back surgery and multiple steroid shots. One injury is in my neck and is showing signs of arthritis. I’m only 31. I had health insurance and planned to have the reduction, but I had to leave my husband (it was a dangerous situation), and he cut off my insurance the first chance he got. I’m in constant pain. I have indentions in my shoulder and difficulty working out. If anyone out there has any information that might help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!!

Answer: Breast reduction Dear estykelsey, breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts. While there are different techniques used to perform this surgery, I prefer the vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern, which reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. I also use a SAFE liposuction technique to reduce additional fat around the stubborn axilla area and bra line. This way, my patients are achieving beautiful results with minimal incisions which reduces downtime and delivers an overall better breast shape long term. Some teaching hospitals can offer reduced costs for surgeries. If you are considering breast reduction surgery, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Is there any type of assistance or grant...............? Hello and thank you for your question . I am not aware of any assistance for a breast reduction. Losing weight would help tremendously with the symptoms, and once you are at your desired weight, and back to having medical benefits your insurance may or may not approve the reduction . All insurances are different and have different requirements . Also, there is care credit for instance, one of several credit companies, you can apply for to cover the surgery.
