Dr. Akhtar was an amazing surgeon and made my experience very enjoyable, I am over the moon with my results at 6-week post-op and can not wait to see the final result! He made the effort to meet with me multiple times before the operation and ensured I was happy with the size, volume and shape of the implants that I decided to go ahead with. Dr. Akhtar prepared me for what to expect during surgery and the post-op care. I would 100% reccomend him :) My recovery went very smoothly, I experienced tightness as expected and the only part of recovery which made me feel quite uneasy was the pain medication. I was taking codeine as prescribed however after a couple of days taking this I started to feel nauseous, dizzy and drowsy - I stopped taking this medication when I felt this way and stuck to paracetamol and ibuprofen which eased my pain just as well in the later days of recovery. Again, I had a great experience with Dr. Akhtar and would reccomend for anybody looking to go ahead with breast augmentation.
My experience has been 10/10 from start to finish. Mr Akhtar was realistic with me about what results he could achieve with my body after loosing 8 stone and having a lot of excess skin in not usual places but he has exceeded my expectations and has done an amazing job my stomach is flat all the skin has gone i am so happy thank you for changing my life! x
AMAZING!! Thank you Dr Akhtar and the team for making me feel fantastic. Your compassion and kindness put me at easy in the first 2 minutes. I have gone from a K to an F cup and feel great. My long lost confidence has returned. Bless you all.
I was so nervous about getting this surgery done. Mr Akhtar was so friendly and informative and answered all my questions that Immediately after my first consultation I knew I wanted to go ahead. I received my surgery date pretty soon and attended a second consultation. Initially we decided I would have the FDL tummy tuck however I was still unsure and scared. On the day of surgery when Mr Akhtar came to see me I told him and he said let’s do the normal tummy tuck as will still get a good result and he didn’t want to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with. He was right as my results are amazing. I was walking around straight after surgery and went home the next day. Was provided with 2 garments and 2 binders. I had a direct number for the nurse for any queries or concerns and they said I could come in at any point if I was worried about anything which I did twice to get my stitches checked. I was worried about my swelling and Dr Akhtars secretary made an appointment that week to see him and to put my mind at ease. The staff have been amazing. I have been so lucky as I have had no complications. Today was my 3 month consultation and I have been signed off to go to the gym. I still can’t believe I have had it done and am so happy with my results. It was worth every penny! Thankyou to Mr Akhtar and all his staff. Updated on 16 Apr 2024: Before and after photos. Took weekly photos to monitor my progress. Photos show week 3 and week 10. Mornings are the best as are the most flat! As the day goes on I still swell and by evening can look very bloated and swollen. Can also depend on what I eat and what time in the evening. Still have some swelling even at 12 weeks but a lot better than it was.
Dr Akhtar was truly amazing put me at ease from the first time we met. No question was too big or small in my consultations. He always had a few options and explained everything to me so I understood.Wish I would have had my surgery years ago. Thank you for making my dreams come true.
I had a tummy tuck with Mr Akhtar in August 2023. I felt very reassured by Mr Akhtar all the way leading to the procedure and on the day of the procedure also. Everything fully explained and what to expect. Happily answered any questions that I had along the way. Felt very safe and listened to throughout the consultations and on the day of the procedure. So pleased with my results and the recovery was amazing. I am now six months down the line and loving my new confidence!
My experience with Dr Akhtar was excellent. His friendly approach really made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout my surgery process. He took the time to go through all the details about my procedure, making sure I had no concerns. Post surgery, Dr Akhtar checked my recovery progress, making sure everything was going to plan. Overall, I am definitely happy with my results and would definitely recommend Dr Akhtar to others.
I’ve wanted a breast augmentation for years and finally decided to do it. I researched plenty over the years and had an idea on what I wanted and needed to achieve my desired look which was just to make me look more in proportion and be able to wear nice clothes without feeling conscious. I booked a consultation with Mr Akhtar after being recommended by friends and from the second I met him I knew I’d made the right decision. I told Mr Akhtar what I thought I’d like to go for size wise, placement etc but that I trusted whatever he thought was best and to go with that. My surgery date came around on the 15/11/23 where I attend The Highfield hospital. I was so happy with my experience there, all the staff were so lovely and helpful. I came around after the surgery in no pain whatsoever and so happy! I came out with my agreed 375cc in my right breast and 400cc in my left, high profile over the muscle and even from the start I’ve loved how they look. Currently almost 4wpo and still so happy with them, I’m still amazed at how good they look already! Never had any pain at all, healing well and I feel great. Can’t thank Mr Akhtar enough!!
Mr Akhtar was professional yet caring and I could not recommend him more highly to anyone considering this surgery. He was recommended to me and even from the initial consultation I knew I was in good hands. He the speaks to you in language you can understand so you are fully aware of what is involved. He is also very approachable and is happy to answer any questions at any time. All the hospital staff I met commented what a wonderful surgeon he is as well as well as a lovely person and that they enjoyed working with him, so that also confirmed I had made a great choice of surgeon. The results of my surgery are wonderful; it has taken decades for me to make this decision, primarily due to finding a recommended surgeon, so I could not be happier. My Akhtar was reassuring at all stages of the process and especially after surgery when he attended the hospital to check on me, I really felt he cared and he does. I travelled some distance for my surgery so it was a big commitment as there are quite a few appointments with consultation, surgery and follow up, but both the hospital and Mr Akhtar’s PA always did their best to book suitable appointments for me so the service from everyone involved was excellent. If you are considering breast reduction I would say look no further than the Circle Group and Mr Akhtar, he is a perfectionist and you will not be disappointed! To everyone and especially My Akhtar, this surgery really has been life changing and I cannot thank you all enough!
Mr Aktar has been highly professional, fully informative and completely made me feel at ease, prior to surgery and post operative. He was extremely thorough in understanding why I wanted the surgery and how I exactly wanted my end result to look. Mr Akhtar also gave me lots of helpful health advise and tips on how to aid my recovery better, which worked brilliantly and will be something I will continue to do long term. I am only four weeks post op and I am very happy with the shape and size of my new breasts. My scarring is reducing daily and the pain after my operation has been very minimal, only requiring paracetamol for the first few days.
Thanks for your question. There is no doubt that a tummy tuck will give you a much flatter and tighter tummy. I have a patient before and after, on my profile that was very similar to your case and you can judge for yourself regarding the result and potential pouches. Your rib flair is not too prominent so you shouldn't get too much in the way of residual loose skin in the upper abdomen.Liposuction is commonly performed in conjunction with a tummy tuck however this isn't always the case and as such the price given for a tummy tuck doesn't include liposuction.
This is a great question and something I think is variable from person to person. I spend a lot of time talking about compression in the post operative period and apply a regime that starts with a garment and binder day and night and then I gradually start reducing this at the 6 - 8 weeks post operative phase, dependant on how well the body swelling is responding to the compression. By four months most patients are just wearing the garment during the day but still advised to use both during exercise - up to six to nine months post operative. I'm sure that some of my patients curse my name during this phase but I happy to accept it as a good compression regime will give good results. Some of my patients reversely insist on carrying on wearing the compression even after 9 months and there is no doubt that these patients have the best results. Be guided by your plastic surgeon.
This is a great question and one that I always draw my patients attention to before the operation.I tend you say that you look at your best in the first few hours after your operation. The swelling then begins to start and usually continues to get worse up until 6 weeks after the operation and then starts to get better and you will be back to your best by 3 - 6 months post op. Things to reduce the extent of the swelling is not overdoing things in the first 6 weeks.Wear you compression garments religiously in the first 8 weeks and ideally carry on till 6 months, if possible and I recommend as tailored regime regarding this depending on recovery.A tip to speed up the recovery is to get some lymphatic massage but speak to your plastic surgeon for guidance on this and see if it will be appropriate for you.So don't be disheartened at the 3 weeks stage, thinks may get a little bit worse over the next few weeks but then things will start getting better and it will be great at 3 - 6 months.
Thanks for your question. In my practice the price varies between hospitals even though there is no difference in treatment or follow up and support. The price for a full tummy tuck is between either £5997.50 or £7161.00 in the two hospitals from which I operate. With additional liposuction this will be either £7400.00 or £7880.00. The price includes follow up and two garments.
If the photos represent how you are at the moment then a tummy tuck will do really well. If you lose weight further and have a tummy tuck, then you have to maintain that weight ( minus the weight of the tissue removed )to maintain the result. If you lost weight before the operation and then put weight back on, up to how you are at the moment, after the operation, then the result would probably look worse than if you had a tummy as you are at present.Conversely, you cant lose too much weight after a tummy tuck as this can result in loose skin.
