I’m 36 year old and I have been getting fillers for years in my lips. I feel like the distance between lips and nose makes my face look long and I am considering a lip lift but of course don’t want to look unnatural ir have a weird rabbit look. I also have fillers do they dissolve those before surgery? Am I a good candidate for a bullhorn lip lift?
Answer: Lip Lift The ideal candidate for the Elelyft, or upper lip lift, is someone with a philtral length of 13mm or longer, no upper dental show, and/or a thin upper lip. The nasal base to mouth width ratio needs to be taken into consideration to avoid leaving the lip corners down. In your situation, I would recommend dissolving the filler prior to surgery. Consult with an experienced lip surgeon for a complete range of options that are appropriate for your situation. Gary Linkov, MD Lip Specialist / RealSelf Lip Lift Medical Reviewer Manhattan

Answer: Upper lip lift - bullhorn lift thank you for posting your question. Based on your picture it seems that you have a long upper lip, which usually lengthens, and flattens to some degree during the aging process. Fillers can actually enhance the process. During the assessment for an upper lip lift, your dental show (while talking or smiling) would needed to be evaluated. It is also advisable to wait until your previous lip filler injections have resolved. An upper lip lift is a very powerful procedure from an aestehetic standpoint - being performed under local ansthesia with no downtime. Major swelling disappears within a couple of weeks. The incision is barely visible and be camouflaged using make-up in the beginning. Depending on your skin typ the scar will fade and become nearly invisible. I hope this helped.Best of luck
