This is a 39 year old woman who underwent a bilateral breast augmentation in 2000 with 350 cc saline implants. This was performed by another surgeon. She consulted me for breast revision surgery. On examination before her surgery with me, she had a capsular contracture (scar tissue) around her right breast implant with displacement upward and distortion. She had symmastia with a connection between her breasts. She underwent exchange of her implants to 495 cc shaped gel implants, along with placement of acellular dermal matrix to repair her symmastia and removal of her capsule on the right breast. Her after photos are two months after her surgery.
