There aren't many reviews with the Mentor xtra line of implants (especially the larger sizes) so hopefully this will help someone out there.
I am 4 days post op from my revision surgery. I got an internal bra with Dr. Revis to fix lateral displacement, bottoming out, and rippling on my left side. The internal bra is no joke, this surgery has been much more difficult than my first. I don't have much muscle pain like before, but a ton of pain and pulling sensations at my creases and sides where the internal bra sutures are. Both sets of my implants are under the muscle.
I traveled out of state to have my procedure, and definitely wouldn't have been able to do it without my husband. I can't lift anything more than 1 or 2 pounds and still have t-rex arms to minimize the pain. We flew home on day 3 post op and the flight + bumpy car ride wasn't bad at all, surprisingly walking around the airport was the worst part. My first surgery was done with the inframammary incision which made car rides terrible, but this time I think the periareolar incision it made the the bumps much easier.
My boobs look crazy right now but I know it'll only get better from here. My main goal was to go bigger, have as much symmetry as possible, and to have defined creases. My first aug gave me a floating look that I didn't like, it made the scars really noticeable. The bottoming out was also causing pain so I specifically knew I wanted to go to Dr. Revis for the internal bra. I'm very swollen and they are riding high, but I'll be posting more pics as they heal and drop.
Old implants: 405 & 445 Moderate Profile Natrelle Soft Touch
New implants: 560 & 595 High Profile Mentor MemoryGel Xtra

I also had 405cc moderate profile the first time. I hated them!! They were so flat looking . I had no projection or upper pole fullness. I would have loved to have had HP but I would have had to go with 700cc and I didn’t want to go that big… so moderate plus xtra is what I ended up choosing. It’s definitely better than what I had the first time.

Feeling much better this week! Still feel really sore in the mornings but the pulling & stinging feeling from the internal bra that was there the first 5 days has gone away thankfully. The puckering from the sutures are still visible but look less intense than a few days ago. At this point it feels better than my first BA did, but the first week was definitely harder.
Revis has been amazing so far! I let him choose my implant sizes and profile based on my wish pics and so far it's exactly what I'm looking for based on what I think they'll look like after D&F. I was scared to go from such a flat implant to a really HP one, but I'm loving the projection. Pre-op and post-op care has been great, I sent him my 1 week pics and he got back to me within the hour. Everything is healing nicely so far!

I don’t even know why any Dr would use the moderate implant anymore. I guess there are a select few women who would choose those. I didn’t choose my first set, I had expressed a natural look to my surgeon so I guess that’s why he went with those. After 9 months of healing I told him that I hated them and wanted an implant with more projection and I had a little lateral displacement going on too that needed fixed. People that saw my before and now can totally notice a difference, but I see them everyday so they seem small to me now that all the swelling is gone. Boob greed is REAL!! I guess I just love the fullness of the swollen look, lol.. Looking forward to following your revision journey.
